Stormswept Seas
The ship tossed violently back and forth along the turbulent waters off of South Africa. Some of the new recruits turned green and lost their lunch overboard. Most of us fought off the cold and rain to keep the ship upright, while a handful of men joined the ship's priest to hold vigil and pray for our safety. We were going to need it. Shortly before the storm, one man claimed he saw the Flying Dutchman in the distance off the port bow. Knowing full well the legend of the Flying Dutchman, I took an extra precaution to scan the waters for hazards hidden by the sea, and perhaps even a glimpse of the cursed ship itself.
