Interior of the Chiesa di San Vio,...
On June 15th 1310 (St. Vitus' Day) the infamous Bajamonte Tiepolo Conspiracy was uncovered saving the life of Doge Pietro Gradenigo. Believing that St. Vitus had protected him, the Doge would make a yearly procession to the Chiesa di San Vio to commemorate the event. The houses that once crowded the church were demolished to make a dock for the Bucentaur, the gilded barge of the Doge.
Well the plan is to build a portion of the Grand Canal from the Rio de San Vio to the Rio de la Fornace (as that is all that will fit on one full sim :/ ) including a portion of the Rio de le Toreseie as well as the opposite side of the canal. Four palazzi will be rent-able and five shops will be rent-able.
Having spoken to a good friend of mine, I noted that it was unfortunate that Venice has been too long overlooked. Versailles has been built over and over again as has courts dedicated to England, Russia, German states, Spain, Portugal, and those of us who are old enough can remember Sweden, Orange-Nassau, Hungary, Austria, Prussia, America and New Spain. Venice was built once and was closed before it even opened.
