Thanks to Skyerider Varriale and Bedrich Panacek for showing me how to bring out the shadows in Phoenix viewer :D

You need to have a computer that can run graphics on "Ultra" level You change this is in "Preferences"

Then you go to the tab marked "Phoenix" ->page 2 of that -> select the tab named "Advanced Graphics" and just click the box for shadows. Voila!
