Farewell To Goatswood 1
I walked to the tower and wandered amongst the plush furnishings of elaborate art and brocade. Helping myself to some brandy, I took a seat on a finely decorated sofa and stared entranced the flames dancing within the 8 foot tall ornate fireplace. I couldn't believe this place was going, and I was going to savor what time(and what brandy) I had left.
And people who have never experience "the virtual world" tell us this isn't real. Oh, how wrong they are. Well spoken, Captain. As long as we remember the people and places that are our past, they live.
Indeed Signora, even if these spots were merely "virtual," they were still destinations that could be visited in a tangible way just like any RL place. It's a shame that, because of sim price, all good sims befall the same fate. Goatswood and Venexia had a good run, managing to hang on for a few years. They've held on longer than many other sims, so I guess I shouldn't have any complaints here. All I could do is wish them well, and hope that they saved their work for upload to Open Sim.
