Mexico: Tikal
Aztec Warriors are a fearsome lot indeed. ESPECIALLY their elite fighters, the Eagle and Jaguar warriors. Skilled in battle, they capture enemies to be sacrificed, their hearts then offered to the sun so that it may rise the next day. Their culture seems quite advanced in the areas of mathematics and astronomy, yet I have not witnessed any kind of metal implements. But they seemed to have mastered flint-knapping to an artform. Their obsidian blades indeed rival any of our own steel knives... In an uneasy truce, I watched the spear point of this Eagle Warrior, Huitzilopochtli, often. The blood at the top of the stairs tells me a grim story, and it is one that I have no desire to be a part of.
