It didn't take long before we were greeted by one of the natives... He looked to be a rather large lizard with a huge club at the end of a long tail.... and he didn't look too happy at our coming. I thought twice against bringing out the rowboat, since his tail looked deadly enough to pulverize it to smithereens. The beast waved his tail at us defiantly, almost daring us to come ashore. Unwilling to waste my valuable cannonballs or lose any crewmembers to this beast, I gave the order to wait it out....
