The House of Bragança, officially titled as the Most Serene House of Bragança, is a noble family in Portugal, which had great influence and importance in Europe and the world until the early twentieth century, the dynasty was sovereign, and therefore the family real, the country and overseas colonial empire, for nearly three centuries, and rising in previous dynasties. The House was also the sovereign of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brasil and Algarve and, indirectly, the Empire of Brasil.
