As some of you know, the second floor of the Accademia di Scienze, Lettere, ed Arti di Melioria is an exhibition space, dedicated to presentations that will "instruct and delight" the general public as well as scholars and the members of learned societies.
Our inaugural exhibition of classically-inspired sculptures by Signor Maximilian Massenberg has recently closed. We are indebted to Signor Massenberg for providing the pieces for this presentation.
Thank you Max, it was quite a show!
So what's next?
Glad you asked that question.
Our next effort will be a long-term, regularly evolving recreation of a "Cabinet of Curiosities"--an eclectic assemblage of oddities, art, historicial and cultural artifacts and natural history specimens. Such displays were highly popular from the Renaissance into the early 19th century, and were the forerunners of modern museums.

This project also is going to be a participatory effort. We are soliciting loaned materials from any and all interested parties and random individuals. We invite you to look in your inventory and see what curious and entertaining objects you might have that you could loan for display. If you have anything you would like to offer as a possibility, kindly send a picture and a notecard with a description to Aldo Stern in-world.
We will rotate and change the displays, so that more objects will be utilized over time. Some artifacts have already arrived...
...but obviously, we have some room to work with.
We look forward to hearing from you. The opening of the initial version of the exhibit will be in approximately three weeks.
