Slaver Ezrim Welcomes You to the Desert Rose! - no meter required
The Desert Rose Inn is under new management!
Come wet your whistles, and other things, at slaver Ezrim's glorious and slightly naughty inn. DJ will provide fight-themed tunes. Festivities to commence at noon and last for as long as the dancers can stand. Ezrin and others will be on hand to enslave prey for the slave auction, so make sure you have an up-to-date meter!

Desert Rose
Do you have what it takes to solve crimes and bring criminals to justice? On the northern shores of Africa, the dwindling, mercenary forces of Malta now sell out their services even to the local (mostly warlord) pashas who rule their ports like city states with little direct intervention from Constantinople. As such, the knights act as a de-facto police force in some cities. Ours is one of them. Can you, brave knight, follow the clues and find the kidnapped damsel? The first knight to find her shall be declared the winner!

Painting/Sketching Contest - no meter required

Artists are on hand to sketch and/or paint our gallant knights and damsels. Submit your best pose, in snapshot or texture form, to Mansur by 3PM. Mansur will display them in the Corsair Hall until 4PM. IM Mansur with your vote for best sketch! Sketches may feature single subjects or multiple.

How it works:
- Poses will be scattered throughout Korat. Use ours or bring your own!
- Take a photo of yourself as a knight or a damsel.
- You MAY doctor it up in a graphics editing program if you wish.
- Submit the FULL PERM photo or texture to Mansur by 3PM
- IM Mansur with your vote by 4PM.

Try your sword arm in the gentlemanly (or gentlewomanly) art of fencing. Prove your mettle on the piste! We will engage in tournament style bouts until a champion is named!

Sword Battle Free For All! - meter required!

Are you the greatest knight in all the land? Prove it at the Free for All style battle held in the desert sands just beyond Korat. Draw your sword and fight your fellows until there is but one man standing: you!

How it works:
- All contestants MUST wear BC meter version 2.32f, otherwise the combat function may not work Have your swords and meters ready ahead of time! Meters and updates are available at the landing point There is a one-time meter cost of $50L. Swords are free at the blacksmith's shop.
- When Mansur gives the signal, contestants are to fight until their health meter reaches 0 and they fall unconscious. Fallen combatants may be revived with the help of local healers and physicians, but they are not to rejoin the battle.
- Battle continues until one player, the winner, is left standing!

THE GREAT SLAVE AUCTION!
Korat's slave market

Are you a slave in search of a master? Are you a master in search of a slave? You're in luck! Ezrin and others will be on hand on all day to capture and sell slaves at the Korat slave market. European Christians are the slaves of choice, but people from all around the world may find themselves in our markets!

How it works:
- Alts welcome. Feel free to create an alt just for this event, if you like.
- All prey and all predators MUST be wearing BC meter version 2.32f, otherwise the capture may not work Have your meters ready ahead of time! Meters and updates are available at the landing point There is a one-time cost of $50L.
- All prey, predators, and prospective masters MUST be part of the Barbary Coast Project group. The group joiner is at the landing point.
- Prey will announce in group chat that they are willing to be captured. Predators will capture and then announce in group chat that an auction is taking place! Predators set their meters to chase mode and then repeatedly bump prey until prey are rendered unconscious. Predators must bind, collar and leash the prey on the meter very quickly. There are time limits in the meter that will release prey if these are not done in a particular amount of time.
- Following capture, the auction will take place at Korat's auction block. For this one time only event, prospective masters may bid BC coins OR $L donations to the sim.
- Slaves are asked to stick with their bidder for at least three days.
- Masters are asked to respect all slaves' rp limits. Limits must be posted clearly in picks.

NOTE: The SLAVE PLAY PLACE, in Kadiz, is a naughty dungeon that is open to the public. Feel free to take your captives there for some quality fun time OR sell them on the auction block!

Remember the burned-out Russian ship that is falling apart off the docks of Korat? Well, there are rumors of treasure beneath the waters! Next week the looted wreck will disappear, so now is the time to loot the wreck!

How it works:
There are a number of spots that give treasure in the wreck. The person to collect the most items will win 500 lindens! Everyone will be able to turn in their treasure for BC coins on MONDAY.

Dive under the water to locate bits of treasure. Each treasure spot will give treasure to a particular player only once an hour.. so the best way to win is to keep checking back.
