THE SEBOU - 'THE 7TH'
This is a really sweet ritual that is celebrated by Egyptians of all classes and by Muslims and Coptic Christians alike. Elements of it predate both religions and go all the way back to the time of the Pharaohs! Think of it as an Egyptian version of a baby shower. I've never participated in the sebou and I have no children of my own, so please forgive me if any of my research is incorrect.

HOW WE'RE CELEBRATING:
We'll be celebrating on WEDNESDAY and we'll be doing it TWICE! We celebrate once at 9am and once at 6pm, the intention being to give people in different time zones a chance to participate.
- At 9am, we'll unveil the baby's name and do the parade around the palace.
- At 6pm, we'll serve a feast!
HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
- Eat, drink, and be merry. Just show up to the festivities and RP.
BUILD CONTEST!
- Build a sebou pot! The best pot receives a 200L gift card to [DDD] ~ Dysfunctionality. it's one of my favorite in-world stores!
- Build part of the feast! Prepare a lamb dish, a sack of candies and coins, moghat, a tip jar enabled dish of soaking beans, or a colander in which to carry the child. The best food-related item will also receive a 200L gift card to [DDD] ~ Dysfunctionality.
- Contest entries must be full perm and given to SirCharlesMormont Resident before 6pm SLT.
- Represent gift-giving by donating to the sim -OR- give Song some actual gifts. Her SL name is Tiphara Resident.
