Goya's tapestry cartoons
Goya arrived in Madrid in 1775 and he immediately began to paint tapestry cartoons for the Royal Tapestry Factory. Until 1780, he worked for the factory without a fixed salary.

It is interesting to know that these cartoons will become more famous and admired than their later tapestries, because the tapestries were kept in private royal rooms.
