~The Progress of a Lady-Goose 2~
((It continues lol,comments are appreciated))
Mrs Citie-Goose leads Miss Molly Country-Goose to her lodgings-a stately house with a sign on the door saying
"The Aviary of Eden"
Miss Molly doesnt comprehend fully the meaning of "aviary",but Eden she understands. Her benefactress must be a very religious lady-goose The door is opened by a maid. They enter.
The interior is as lavish as Mrs Citie-Goose´s clothing,Miss Molly Country-Goose is a bit confused,as she thought all ladies of a religious bent lived quite spartan.... but then deduces even respectable ladies are entitled to a little bit of luxury at times- Surely she cant question the good as gold Mrs Citie-Goose?
They sit down in a small intimate parlor with a bigh Oriental rug and walls decorated with miniatures of lady-birds.
Miss Molly Country-Goose gazes curiously at them and inquires politely if its Mrs Citie-Gooses relatives.
Mrs Citie-Goose laughs at this and assures her theyre not her relatives but young ladies like Miss Country-Goose that she has helped find "superior positions in society" But enough of the pleasantries Mrs Citie-Goose concludes and turn to another topic.
Before she can hire her an official interview must be made..things must be made proper and right.Miss Molly Country-Goose nods and agrees.
Does she possess a vast family? -A mother who is left behind in the countryside and relies on her monetary support.
Mrs Citie-Goose seems pleased by her answers, and is about to continue when chirps and coo-ing is heard from the hallway.
Mrs Citie-Goose calls to the maid to fetch in the company of ladies.
These are young ladies of quality (but alas no fortune nor family) she has taken under wing.Out of the godness of her heart naturally--- Mrs Citie-Goose proceeds to introduce them.
Jane Pigeon
Anne Dove
Columbine Turtle-Dove (not related..actually its hard to say who she could be related to as her too fanciful name seems a fabrication)
They flutter out again quickly.
And Mrs Citie-Goose turns to Miss Molly and shakes her head as she look at the rustic clothes Miss Country-Goose is wearing. A change must be made!
She wouldnt want to seem like a silly country-goose now would she? Now that Miss Molly is in the city she has an apperance to think of.
Miss Molly Country-Goose nods and says quite embarrased that she will rectify this as soon as she has an income. Nonsense Mrs Citie-Goose exclaims she will take care of this-and not a word of refusal is to come from Miss Molly Country Goose beak.
Miss Molly Country-Goose hesitantly nods her approval quite shaken by her good fortune.
Mrs Citie-Goose summons a small army of those who has made beauty their livelhood. They quickly sets to work on Miss Molly Country-Goose and she is inspected, primped, corseted and finally deemed worthy to emerge
The transformation of the former Miss Molly Country-Goose is complete.
Mrs Citie-Goose exclaims that she "may become a swan yet" and seems extraordinarily pleased.
Little does the innocent Miss Molly Country-Goose as she admires herself in the looking, know the sinister plans set into motion.
To be continued...

Better than Moll Flanders! I can't wait for what will happen next:-)
Great story!
....Brilliant my dear.....Lololololol
Its all lies! There is no similarity to that Moll Flanders what so ever!!!
Its the "Pamela/Swanela" thing all over again :P<- is at war with theliterary world
Haha well ive seen the Moll Flanders movie if that counts, both of them;)
Its more like if you took Moll Flanders/The Progress of a Harlot and had Beatrix Potter collaborate on the writing with Jane Austen lol
