Farewell Decades1: In Memoriam
On behalf of the Ordine Benevelo Del Lupo Bianco and the crew of the Good Ship Sea Witch, I would like to extend my congratulations to the success of the first Second Life Decades Festival, a gathering of different historical communities throughout the grid. It was an honor to showcase my latest vessel, Sea Witch, in representation of the baroque/Roccoco era. It is in my hopes that she had opened some doors of inspiration and thought to future denizens of the metaverse. It is also my hope that she has done her contribution to the overall mission of the Decades Festival in bringing general awareness of virtual historical communities as a whole... that SL is more than just clubs and shopping. No, we are much more than that. We are living history.
Secondly, I would also like to acknowledge Royal Courts of Second Life as a conduit to bringing these worlds together. Royal Courts had proved to be a central area of connection between the different denizens of various historical roleplay worlds, whether by written word, photograph, and/or video. It had been my sincerest pleasure to display Sea Witch to fundraise on behalf of this fine website. The captain's adventures would not have been chronicled if it were not for Royal Courts, and for this I am truly grateful. The cause was worthy, and I am honored to have been given the chance to give back.
Congratulations to Decades Festival and Royal Courts for a job well Done. I am proud to have been a part of it.

Captain, What a wonderful image, paired with thoughtful words. Royal Courts truly is a conduit to bring those of us who love history, and/or RP, and or learning and teaching together. And you, sir, are both scholar, gentleman...oh, and SL's greatest resource for finding GREAT weapons
