You're just making it look like Versailles is all about looking down on eachother and give everyone a unwelcome feeling and hurting peoples feelings. There are so many people who do respect everyone and help new members but I guess all those people are just a ''exception'' while I'm pretty sure they are the most people. What I mean with ''not a tourist attraction'' is that Versailles is not supposed to be for people who just want to look at Versailles now and then and never be a part of the roleplay. Of course you can watch at the progress of the building of Versailles, but isn't a very reasonable condition that you don't disturb people who do want to RP when visitig? And if you do, isn't then a very reasonable condition that you read the rules and etiquette? (like scratching!)Now, don't get me wrong, I love the Coeur sims and it's owners, but you are making the coeur look superior to Versailles. But I'm pretty sure that the activity and the quality of the roleplay in the coeur realy could do better as well. Now, obviously I'm sorry to hear that Penelope felt unwelcome in Versailles as well as I feel sorry for other people wo feel unwelcome there. And I hope something will change about that. But, I do think that if people would read the etiquette they will see that people aren't being unfriendly but that they are just roleplaying. And, as I said before, I absolutely agree with Penelope's most points, I was just explaning why people where acting in a certain way to her.(I'm not talking for the entire Versailles community, I'm just talking for myself. Though I sound a bit like a Versailles representative :P)

Hellooo Penelope,Don't get me wrong, I absolutely agree with you about what you're saying. You're right when saying that a roleplay shouldn't only excist out of only nobility and that the roleplay shouldn't be about the rank you have, but who you are.I honestly think that Versailles court is working on it realy hard. For example they already have servants and guards and I see more people taking those roles. I see you're point about people not want to take those roles because they won't be as grand in status as the nobility. But I guess people shall see that playing a maid can be a lot of fun too. Because it includes lots of roleplay. But I don't see a people treating them badly and even if they did it's a part of the roleplay as long as it happens IC.And, about you're experience in Versailles: The roleplay in Versailles has started a long time ago and is no tourist attraction. So, when you come into Versailles you are a part of the roleplay, not ''a OOC-woman looking at the progress'' The etiquette in Versailles is the most strict from all courts and realy important for the roleplay. And, scratching the door before entering is a part of the etiquette. (I don't know if you read the rules & etiquette before going in?) So, when you won't follow the etiquette you'll get to hear that for two reasons:- Because you disturb the roleplay.- Because you will learn from it. Now you know you have to scratch the door first. No matter what you're rank might be, you have to follow the etiquette. So, it's not because someone's a duchess she can tell you, you have to scratch the door. But because it's just the way the roleplay is supposed to be and to make it as historically accurate as possible.
