The gown is incredibly well made, good job! You got so good!!
I had to fight so many Japanese tourists aside to get a little glimpse of this tiny painting last summer, I have to say I was rather disappointed with what I found. But I found this very interesting, and I am sure Mona Lisa will continue to smile for many years to come, as we all want to look at her and try and figure out why the heck she's smiling so! Hahaha. Seriously though, thanks for sharing!
I don't know, the author compares monarch Henry VIII to Anne Boleyn and Catherine of Aragon. However, the latter two were no monarchs, but Queen consorts. They were part of the monarchy, but not monarchs themselves. (And even the the legitimacy of Anne Boleyn and the four others as Queen consorts was questioned). They exercised no (official) political power, so they have no need to appear 'masculine' in their paintings or in life. Their roles are not comparable, so we should not be surprised at the way they are presented differently. Their primary function, as for all royal wives, was to produce heirs. This as opposed to Elizabeth I, who was a monarch in her own right. I think Elizabeth I's body was considered aligned with God as well (or with Mary Stuart..), as Elizabeth I herself claimed, and I think people believed it, particularly as she booked many successes, and because people believed their rulers to be appointed by God, man or woman.
I was so honored to be asked by Rocca Sorrentina to set up a little wig shop! Unfortunately it took me a bit longer than I wished, but it is all ready now. My three wigs can be found up for sale there, and you can come by for a good shave, gentlemen! The 18th century hairdresser would provide wigs (for men and women), shave gentlemen, and also sell merchandise!I am sorry I haven't been in Second Life a whole lot as of late, but I still follow the ning Kisses,MarieLouise
I am so sorry to hear this has happened to you, Tatiana. I have seen this happen to many people around me, and I can understand your fury. I think a lot of people do not realize that you put a LOT of (real!) time into your creations. I think this has caused a lot of people, including myself, to be reluctant with making stuff public and putting in a lot of effort in building something publicly, if someone will so easily 'take' it and use it as their own. We only just recently saw this happen in Antiquity.
For in world theft I would recommend to file a DMCA, it is the only way to go and it has been proven to be a working method if done right. But there isn't a whole lot they can do. If I know correctly, the whole copybot mechanism exists due to Linden Lab's own doing in the early years of SL. So, I am very hopeful that SL2 (if that will ever catch on), will be better in the protection of intellectual property.
I think that the people who are so actively involved with the theft of intellectual property within our community (it has happened a lot), have also tarnished it for a great deal. I mean.. There is so very little trust left now.
Anyway,
I hope all will work out well for you, Tatiana.
Best,
ML
It's beaautiful! You should sell this with different colors for the stripe along the ribbon or something, it's really good! Good luck with your exams!
I already saw that on the Versailles Facebook, very exciting to see what it will be like.
Very pretty! Perhaps you could sell them in the Titanic sim? I would not mind sinking in these.
