Bentside Spinet / Epinette

Marketplace Archive ** CLOSED **

Thank you madame. Making them has given me an appreciation of the RL skill that must have gone into the design and execution, as they have a very eccentric shape, and no two angles are the same. I think their popularity was also due to the sound quality, which was as good as the standard harpsichord, and their neat little size.

Bentside Spinet / Epinette

Marketplace Archive ** CLOSED **

New to SL and unique to "Port Royal Designs": three gorgeous varieties of bentside spinet, similar to their larger sister the harpsichord, but far fewer prims.

This dainty instrument is modelled on Jean-Claude Goujons spinet of 1753, though the first spinets appeared in the 1600s.

Plays two pieces via menu selection, with fully animated stool and open/close script.

The Abandoned Clavichord

Marketplace Archive ** CLOSED **

I found this old thing in one of the attics in the east wing. While the case could do with some cleaning and restoration,it plays beautifully. Although not currently rezzed in the store, there is a Boudoir Clavichord there with a very similar sound:

and this old thingmay be purchased from its box on the wall. It's also at the Marketplace.

If you love CPE Bach, as well as the medieval songs of William Byrd, then youwill be impressed with the Abandoned Clavichord.
