Some questions posed by a beginner

General Discussion

Hello!

It's very kind of you that you all want to help me and gave me some advice! Thanks to everyone for the replies!

I have to say that everything you wrote here was very encouraging for me. I'll surely try out the tips you posted here, e.g. observing the courts. Wow, and to be honest: I didn't even know there are more courts in SL than Versailles - really, I thought this forum is just about Versailles^^ But it's good to know there are more courts, so I can, as you already told me, choose between the courts.

Ok, then there's one more question - just to be sure that I understood what you said: Joining the court of Versailles definitely costs real money, whether you're playing as a fictional or historical character, whether you belong to thenobles or not, right?

Thanks again for your replies! I feel very well and safe here now :) I'll surely visit this forum more often :)

Some questions posed by a beginner

General Discussion

Hello!

Wow, I think I'm making so many mistakes now (is it allowed to post this topic in this category here, for example^^), so that's why I'm writing to you.

To begin, I'm Jasmin (another mistake of mine - I filled my real first name into the box of the User Name^^) and I just love 18th century - as most of you do, I suppose.
So of course, I'm interested in the role play, but I have some questions.
It's important to know that I'm not only new at the royal court but also in the whole game, Second Life. That's why I'm completly overstrained with nearly everything. I don't know how anything functions, so please be patient with me... ;)

At first, I wonder where I can find the rules/conditions to join the roleplay. And I need to know if joining costs real money (-> does joining cost money in any case, or do I just have to pay when I want to use "premium" functions?).
In fact, these where my two main questions. Secondly, I'd like to ask if there's a map for the palace of Versailles. Although I've already visited the real palace, it was very difficult for me to navigate there^^

That was all for now :)
I hope I didn't do too many mistakes. If I did, then I'm really, really sorry for that! I don't mean to break any rules, I'm just completly new here!

Thanks :)

Jasmin
