How beautiful! Jackie is my all time favourite First Lady. Such a wonderful work!
Thank you all very much for your kind words! =)
@Mercury: I enjoyed it very very much, even if I'm not perfectly satisfied with it. I found another version of the painting where you can see a small cupid statue on the secretaire too, but I have not yet found something similar for sl. I was also sad that I could not find out which painting Mlle Duth is about to hang above the daybed, but I like the idea of putting the original painting inside instead.
The secretaire - yes I had it before I recreated it and was very surprised that it matched so perfectly in. =)
You are right, its not very easy to find such stuff like canopies and daybeds, there is a lack of different 18th century furniture in SL. But I was very happy to find this mesh canapoy with only 4 prims and different colour textures and I do hope that the brand will make much more in the future.
For now - I need to find matching stuff for the rest of the small salon and than I would love to find a nice painting to recreate as my new salon de compagnie. But I have not yet found something yet. Maybe someone could help me with it?
I really loved the challenge since the first time I read this Topic, but alas I could not decide which interior of a painting I should try to recreate - there were too many options. SoI did not thought about it for a long time, since I began to decorate my new home this weekend. After finding a wonderful new sofa and searching for ideas for a small salon, I remembered one of the paintings I really wanted to recreate - Henri-Pierre Danloux's 1792 Portrait of Mlle Rosalie Duth:
Well and without any other words, here is my try to recreate it (it is not perfect, I know but I like it)
