There was recently a discussion on Hypergrid News about doing that very thing, establishing some sort of OAR archive. I am not at all sure it is feasible, but am intrigued with the idea.

And, yes, I realize people have *things* going on, that we are all busy. At the same time, I see us, as a people, becoming less and less active in recreational pursuits. We have become more often receptacles than catalysts.

Brilliantly, said, Lorsagne. You echo my thoughts on the matters at hand. Yes, money is a problem, but it is not the whole problem. So is an increasingly lazy consumer public. GOOD RP is work, so it does not have mass appeal. That means those of us who love it have to foot the bills, splitting the expense among fewer and fewer participants. It would seem to me to make sense to A. Look to more affordable alternatives for virtual land and B. Cooperate on period RP venues, trying very darned hard not to duplicate one another's efforts.

Would be nice to have something having to do with the arts, as we have two arts stages in that basement. There is a wall of poets already, so don't do that, and there is an art exhibit (paintings) already in place in the pavilion, so not that either. Maybe something to do with music or drama? Or something about a specific historical figure? Hmmm. Lots of possibilities.

I find that there is room on the lowest floor of the observatory for either one exhibit that uses half the floor or two that use quarter floors. 12X12 m for a quarter or 24X12 m for the half. If you you have something relevant to history and historical RP that you would like to share at the festival, please contact me asap. Otherwise, I'll fill it with houseplants and giant cookies.

Just kidding about the cookies. Mostly.
