Marble Hall - Sapphire House
Viewed through the front door, the Marble Hall provides the main entrance for the house. Doors lead to the Long Gallery, Royal Gallery & Staircase and the corridor to the Council Chamber and stairs up to the two chapels (dedicated respectively to St Sophia and St Barbara) and balconies. The balcony shown also lead to the balcony in the tudor Long Gallery and then onto the Duke's private study and private Sola sitting room.
