Thank you, Monsieur!It's a real pleasure to welcome le vicomte de Mirabeau in the Royal Courts! Of course you will not be surprised if i tell you I know your elder brother better, Comte Honor Gabriel de Mirabeau: I even had the pleasure of inviting him in my father 's castle some years ago (not very far away from your Aix estates), when we both were in our late teens: all the girls in the neighborhood remember him well....but let us go back to our subject...I really appreciate the discovery of this ancient french words dictionary, the link for which you so gently provided us with. I thought I was quite aware of these matters, but still, I learned a lot reading it!However, a closer examination leads me to draw the attention of other courtiers on the fact that much more than half of the words "translated" there, were more in use in the middle-ages and rustic France, than in the Salons and Courts of "our" time...Still a very interesting read, but to handle with care, certainly:)))
