Hello Everyone

I thought it might be helpful to have some guidelines that would help you to decide when you should use a Forum Discussion and when you should use a Blog.

Traditionally Blogs are used for stories, dairies (musings), informative articles etc. In Character (IC) journals are most appropriate as are articles related to our historical timeframe. With this Ning format, Blogs cannot be categorized and so they appear in one long list.

Forums are used for everything else; they often invite discussion and are categorized to make it easier to find specific subjects in the wealth of communication. Advertising belongs in the Forums, particularly the Architecture, Property Rentals or Marketplace Categories.

When in doubt, use the Forums and for the sake of better communication please don't use both if you can't decide.

Thanks!

Tatiana

Giving this a bump as a reminder:Blogs = In Character Stories &/or RL Historical InformationForums = Everything ElseI know that some people work really hard on their blog posts and there isn't room for many of them on the main page where they can be seen so when in doubt, please use the Forums. Thanks!
