Up until now, we haven't specified Event Posting Rules but as the site continues to gain in popularity I believe the time has come to include them in our Guidelines .

Note that the physical limitation of only five events showing on the main pagewas one of the majorconsiderations for these rules.

An Event may be posted for a maximum period of 24 hours:

This period may be extended in cases such as Music Festivals where various artists are performing on different days throughout the Festival and the individual performanceshave beenlisted under one Event to save space. See Duch de Coeur: Arts & Music Festival (3rd Annual) as an example.

Events such as Exhibitions which will be open over a period of days, weeks or monthsshould only announce the event opening. These extended events may also make use of the Court News, Rules & Etiquette Category of the Discussion Forum.

An Individual or Group is limited to a maximum of two Events per day:

We'll do a trial run oftwo per day and adjust accordingly. Please try to combine events for the day & groupwhenever possible.

Advertisments for commercial products or services are not allowed in Events.

This includes new store openings.
