Sanssouci Park: Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Communty News & Events

I don't envy the poor soul who draws clean up duty on all those rotten eggs...the scent of sulphur will hang heavy for days and day.

Having no portrait egg, I have put out sliced apple for my horse egg and the tenderest new growth of the passionflower vine for my butterfly egg.

Thank you Sophie...a great hunt.

Have you been in touch with Ael (Aelthing Aeon in SL)who does the Bayside Baroque Concerts? He is a great resource for music history.

Historical Communities featured in Designing World/Prim Perfect broadcast

Communty News & Events

3610_discussions.png?width=750

Designing Worlds/Prim Perfect magazine airs weekly programs featuring home and garden designers and communities in the metaverse. The hour-long program that aired yesterday (their 300th episode!) was the first of two visits to SL's Home and Garden Expo benefiting Relay for Life.

The "Wounded Angels" exhibit that Claire, Robijn, Leena, Jacon, Tia, Tat and I created was featured in the show's first segment. Beautiful photography and best of all, I got to talk about why history and historical communities are so important in the virtual worlds. I sounded like a frog, but Saffia and Eric did a wonderful job of highlighting what this group does best: make history come alive as a vital part of the metaverse.

If you have the time, watch the entire program to see some of the amazing things created by some of SL's really first-rate designers for the event. Sadly, the event is over for this year, but the tally of donations is impressive L$4,000,000+ and still counting.

Men Court Suit by ZART

If Lucien would ever come home from the various missions he undertakes on behalf of the Marquis de Lafayette, he could wear something other than his uniform. These are gorgeous!

History

Have any of you fabulous creators of 18th century gowns for women made one of these? Such a wonderful way to loose those stays and corsets and BREATHE...

I ran across this from a favorite blog "Two Nerdy History Girls" Link to article follows:

Tatiana's Tea Room: Setting up Shop on the Kitely Market

Business Announcements

I have had an account (and some land, I think) in Kitely for a couple of years . . . it is time I made a trip for real! My hesitation has always been my poor building skills which would preclude me doing anything much. But now, there are you guys! Woohoo!!!

See you in Kitely.

They are really stunning. Lorsagne is redoing the apartments of Lucien and her godfather in Rocca Sorrentina and one suspects that she will be in a dither choosing between the dark red and the gold.
