Duché de Coeur Role-Play The Duch de Coeur is a friendly and romantic land inspired by historical France during The Age of Enlightenment (17th-19th centuries). The Court of the Duch de Coeur is both a working court and one for entertainment, events and social interaction. Membership is open to anyone interested in role play (with or without using the RPS system) and in serving the Duchy in a real productive manner. The court holds events for the Duchy with occassional exclusive events just for court members. There are also salons, classes and other social events connected to the court.Ranks are bestowed by the Duc and Duchesses based on one's conduct and positive activities within the court which means titles must be earned. For those members using the RPS system, moving up the RPS levels will count towards earning a title as it is an indication of active participation within the community.Other royalty visiting or residing within the Duchy are recognized as Royalty from other countries and given due respect according to title. However, no one in the Nobles de Coeur may have a title higher than the Duc and Duchesse. Thus the titles given are as follows: New Members: Chevalier/LadyIst Title: Baron/Baronesse2nd Title: Comte/Comtesse3rd Title: Marquis/MarquiseDuc/Duchesse: Reserved for Duc Bedrich, Duchesse Skye and Duchesse Tatiana.Members with a title are given a crest to display outside their door. This crest will let others know your residence is a noble one.Titles are not given automatically or on request but by service to the Duchy. Being hard earned means that the Nobles de Coeur titles can be worn with an extra sense of accomplishment and pride. Eligibility for rank increase is based on participation. When we have events we ask those who are interested to participate. If they do, over time they will be eligible for rank increase. Members who choose to use the RPS system are also gaining eligibility through their interaction with the community.Members of the Nobles de Coeur can join and remain court members simply enjoying the events or they can get involved and rise in rank over time. It's all good! The quest for a title is meant to be an adventure; a means to enhancing your court experience and having fun. Above all, the Duch de Coeur and it's court are meant to be enjoyed! In addition to the court titles, there are a number of Master Positions associated with various duties. The title of Master is typically given after a period of apprentiship.
