That video was hilarious!

Also... just caught up on the season and, yes, that Twilight sleep birth was quite freaky! So far, I like season 3 better than season 2. My dad mentioned a pacing problem, though. He said season 2 was too slow and season 3 seems to be overcompensating by speeding through time -- and that no one ages properly. I kind of agree. What I love about the TV version is that we get to explore so many different eras and places, and that they are all so lovingly and carefully rendered.

Available LEAD Roles:

Most lead roles at Larl Valley have been filled, but a few remain available. Leads are expected to model good RP etiquette and to showcase above average RP skills when writing in English. Previous RP experience is a must. In exchange for their efforts, leads receive benefits like discounted rent and increased prim allowances. Application required. Applications and detailed lead descriptions available on-sim.

• Emir : This seasoned war veteran is an elite soldier. He and the pasha have a close relationship, each one dependent on the other. He is responsible for recruiting, training, and deploying troops.
• Palace Steward : This man is a sharp, intelligent **eunuch** of sub-Saharan origin. He manages the pasha's finances and household. He is party to every secret and, in exchange, he enjoys a great deal of freedom and autonomy.
• Opposition Leader : This can be any person of any status, including any sim leads. His or her duty is to plot, covertly, to re-establish Mamluk rule of Egypt and to recruit fellow anti-Ottoman Egyptians to his or her cause. This role requires an experienced Rper who can plan plots that sometimes succeed and sometimes fail.
• Tavern Keeper : The tavern keeper runs a small family or staff. He oversees the dancers and servers and cooks to keep the city’s bellies full. This role has the option to fully integrate with the Unity Empire crafting system in order to cook meter-ready food, but RP food is also acceptable.

Other Currently Available Roles:

These roles are less intense than lead roles. Applications are not required, merely an agreement (ICly) with the appropriate point-of-contact character.

• Assistant or Apprentice Slaver : Mistress Johanna is looking for an assistant or apprentice to help procure, train, assign, rent out, and sell her stock. Daytime availability preferred. Candidate may be male or female, slave or free. Contact Jo'hanna Ronen (j0hana Resident) to apply.
• Brothel Workers : Madame Bane's House of Pleasure, a 1700s-era brothel, gaming hell, and one stop shop for every illegal vice, is seeking slaves or free staff. Contact Madame Bane (chelie lionheart) for employment opportunities. Presently hiring:  general female staff , a virgin female above the age of 20, a large male to double as a bully boy , eunuchs and molly boys , a trainer/procurer to prepare new staff.
• Blacksmith : Forge with living space provided, with option to rent additional prims. Just start RPing the role. No point-of-contact necessary.
• Woodworker : workshop provided, with option to rent additional prims.  Just start RPing the role. No point-of-contact necessary.
  
• Seamstress/Tailor/Draper/Weaver : workshop provided, with option to rent additional prims and/or a furnished apartment.  Just start RPing the role. No point-of-contact necessary.
  
• Cafe staff : workspace provided, with option to rent additional prims and/or an apartment space behind the shop.  Just start RPing the role. No point-of-contact necessary.

Best currency hud?

General Discussion

I have been struggling to find the right currency and meter for my sim. So far, I seem to be doing all right without a health meter. No one wants one. A currency hud, however... that would be more useful.

Does anyone know where I can find such a thing? Ideally, it would be customizable at the admin level and give me a large amount to start with (so that I can give it to folks as needed for their roles). At base, all it would really have to do is allow avatars to exchange imaginary coins back and forth - like a big old calculator. The ACS coin system comes to mind - except I think I read that they recently changed theirs.

Any suggestions?

I visited the Sansar Flickr page and it certainly seems that historical settings are possible to create. What I am unsure of is the bar for creating them.
