And it's lovely, and informative, and life-giving. I only had time to wander a couple of the RFL expo's sims last night. but of the particular exhibits I visited, this was absolutely the one that encouraged reflection on the cause that underpins the whole of the exposition (so many are merely marketing adjuncts). As the daughter and sister-in-law of breast cancer survivors, I want to thank Lorsagne for her thoughtful and meaning-driven exploration of the theme. I hope that everyone who visits takes time to read and reflect upon the companion booklet.

Speaking for Antiquity, we are simply pleased to serve as home to an enterprise that is so true to our original intent: bringing life to history. We anticipate hours of fascination as the Decades portion of Argyle takes on its new character, and exhibits arrive and evolve over time.

Speaking for myself, I must thank Mme. de Sade for giving me such a delightful excuse to play with landforms! The character of the land will be quite different on the seaward and landward sides, as so often happens in nature. Landward we will have moderately sloping countryside, requiring some effort but not so much as to discourage weary guests...seaward, a decisive cliff, possibly useful in case some of those guests prove troublesome although I hope any duels on the ramparts will follow historically appropriate protocols and not interrupt more genteel events!

But such a noisy minority...and so very hard to limit, as the article's said.

Given the elements of narcissism and sadism, I suppose this study is an indication that we need to resist our own inclination to give a troll any overt attention once we realize we have one in the chat (aside from very matter-of-fact administrative action along the lines of "Just the facts," "That's the policy," and "Goodbye.") Not always easy.

Not exactly historical - we told our guests to pick their own century, and they did! The Royal Antiquity Theatre, however, was thoroughly Rococo. Here's the link:

If anyone would like to book it for a theatrical, musical or other event, please contact Jacon Cortes. As our videographer Dianne Melson says, there's not a bad angle in the hall, and because we've put the stage in one sim and the audience in another, a good-sized audience can turn up without lagging out the performers.

There are free ice skates to use, or you can bring your own if you desire. Watch out for the penguins...they tend to show off.

A couple of the wee folk (they told me they are elves) are running a little sled ride. Just wait for the wee folk...I mean, "elf", to come around on her little sled..right click and hop on!...

You can also wander around and gaze at the ice sculptures...or curl up with a friend in front of the Chimera.

The gift from Olavi and me was easy enough, but then I started putting together a package from the Conynghams and found myself mesmerized by early 19th century political cartoons...until after three in the morning, with nothing actually done towards the gift itself and a day's RL work still ahead of me!
