My dear Count Rezzonico, this is very grand news. I am sure your mother, the dear Countess, is as busy with this as she is happy about it. I wish you and your new bride a successful and fruitful life together.

At home in the Regency

Apparel

Hello my dears,

After watching War and Peace recently, I've decided to make some dresses in the that style.

In this period, fashionable women's clothing styles were based on the Empire silhouette dresses were closely fitted to the torso just under the bust, falling loosely below. Inspired by neoclassical tastes, the short-waisted dresses sported soft, loose skirts.

I hope you all enjoy these!

For the Reopening of Georgian London in Second Life, The Court of St. James's, I've created some new gowns! Since the Roleplay is shifting from London, to the Court of St. James's and the timeline has been changed to 1763, I thought some pretty new dresses were in order.

Fichus

And Lace Cap for the Hair

I hope you Like them! They can be found in the Market of Georgian London in Second Life, the Court of St. James's.

Holiday Releases from Chez Giroux!

Apparel

Helloo helloo my pretties, I've finished up a collection of Georgian gowns. All these gowns released, was created in the 1740s/50s Style of Georgian England, in the middle of the 18th Century.

I know they all say Day Gowns, but in practice, these gowns were worn all day and evenings as well. I named it day gowns, to differentiate them from the very formal gowns worn at privileged events. (Hence, those will be known as Evening gowns).

I Hope you all like them! They are mostly 250L, though some are 300L. You can find them then in my store, in Georgian London.

Artemisia Gentileschi Exhibit

Art & Architecture

What a delightful exhibit. It was a pleasure to view it. I'm quite a fan of Artemisia.

I came across her from a very IMPRESSIVE 3 part documentary about "The Story of Women and Art" by Professor Amanda Vickery. In episode one, about 31:30 minutes into episode one, they discuss Artemisia for a bit. Its a great documentary, I encourage viewing it.

Second Life's Beloved Recreation of Mont Saint Michel Soon Leaving SL for "Economical" Reasons

General Discussion

Thats sand :( I use to visit it a lot, and mj, maria, and I have fond memories of the place dating all the way back to 2009. But I have faith, with every closed door, comes a new opened one. Who knows what the future of sl has in store.
