The Conversion of Clovis - 1
Saturday, 24 June, 1773, saw a play enacted on the theme of "The Conversion of Clovis", in honor of the arrival of the new papal nuncio. Although the papal nuncio was not able to attend, the play itself was a big success. Here Clovis, King of the Franks (the Comte de Chiverny) turns to Jesus Christ after Queen Clotilde's exhortation.
