Skate no more! At least not on the waterways... The ice has melted in most areas. The snow continues to fall, but the temperatures have warmed sufficiently to clear the waterways.

We expect the snow to stop within a few days and the temperatures to continue to rise. We will bring out the carriages next week once the packed snow and ice have melted from the roads.

The locks are still frozen, but we expect those to thaw this weekend. We will bring out the rowboats at that time.

Hurray! Although the snow sight is always absolutely beautiful, my feet like it less so!
