The warden of the Monastery
He is the warden of the Monastery tower.
Old as Methuselah, he thinks he's wise, because he says and does nothing, except a wink or hoot once in a while.
He resents it when we call him Abby ( his real name is Abelard de Montmirail de Mortemare).
When he was young, he dreamed to be an owl in Versailles attics: but now he is the king and only subject of this ruined kingdom of the Monastery.

I am not only thanking Abelard for his watching the gardens, and overseeing our home. I had the incredible honour of actually meeting him last evening ... in RL ! It was magical ! Such an incredible journey he undertook to share his wisdom with me ~ I can only hope he has found his way safely back to his perch in the tower.
