Interlude: The Escape 7 - Return of...
I rowed and rowed until I felt my arms were to fall off. Weary and tired, I rowed north towards Barbados, with full confidence that my crew's coordinates were correct. Thoughts of home and of my friends and family fueled me on as I rowed into night. I scanned the horizon the whole time for my men, but to no avail. By now, the sun was now sinking behind the horizon, and soon it was too dark to see. I was alone on the waters... again. Nothing but whale songs to sing me to sleep... and I gave up. Pulling the oars aboard the boat, I rested my weary head in my hands in defeat... then I saw it! Lo and behold, in the distance, were two great ships, as familiar as ever, their lanterns beaming brightly to me from the distant horizon, beckoning me to come hither. With renewed strength, I deployed the oars and rowed with all my might, and like a moth attracted to candle light, I (slowly but surely) made my way towards the warmth of my beloved ships and my loyal crew.
Wonderful chapter to your escape Captain! I'm sure the crew will provide you with a warm welcome. Bravo my friend, you made it :D
