I have chosen to retire to my Villa in the Veneto for the moment, but look forwards to being visited there by the Loridani. this seasons Foscari wine is pretty good, but any wine you bring with you will be equally welcome.
It will be a pleasure to visit you in the Veneto, and I look forward to taste the wine of your choice and recommendation. I believe the villa is being renovated? I look forward to see it in its full splendor as the architect intended it to be. And my sincere thanks for your comment!
There is something more to it than its astounding and somberbeauty, something deep and heartfelt coming through, beyond gloom and despair. Just as if Istood in the picture myself, hidden behind a mask, as if we ALL were part of this picture somehow, somewhere, some day...
I too am very much captivated by this painting, Conte di Loredon. It is completely mesmerizing for all the reasons expressed by Lord Myron. Indeed, thank you for sharing it with us.
The burial was a sudden and improvised event. It was moving as we all too briefly swapped memories filled with laughter and sadness.... Many Venetians were unfortunately not present at this time and were missed by us all, and amongst others to name only a few were - and forgive me for not mentioning all - my Loredani sisters Contessa Selina and Contessa Sophia, Contessa Foscari, Contessa Renier Michiel, Contessa Grimani, Contessa Balbi, Messere Barozzi, Luca - Marchese Savorgnan, many orphans and of course our Patriarch of Venezia, Monsignor Giovanelli.
Lady Candace, Lord Myron, you are most perceptive and it moves me to hear your thoughts and impressions. I thank you for sharing as well.
