Hello Everyone
I've always enjoyed blogs & blogging and find itamazing, all the creativity that's out there just waiting to be enjoyed.
I got my feet wet as a blogger with my SL dedicated Tatiana's Tea Room which celebrated it's first year anniversary in January. It seems that gave me the courage to start a brand new blog that is geared more to my RL, i.e. the life where I'm not the Duchesse de Provence 
Renaissance Daze is aboutenjoying the simple pleasures ofThe Good Life in your own back yard. I've only added a few posts so far, but I think that it's shaping up nicely and I thought it might be time to share it with you all.

GRAND OPENING FOR THE ROYAL COURTS FENCING GROUP!

It certainly was an exciting first event, Lord Myron. Thank you so much for hosting it. It was wonderful to see so many people from the Royal Courts attending, especially the women who were there to take up the challenge
)I was a bit concerned that my play wouldn't be quite up to the task, it was such an event filled day after all, but it turned out that I was very lucky in the end. Ouch, Elizabeth!I think many of us has had that sick feeling when we see the unexpected results of something we did online and there is no "Undo" feature. Keeping it all in perspective (as I keep mumbling to myself) making mistakes with a social site like this certainly is very small in the grand scheme of things

Leaving an Ning Network - What happens to the Groups you Created?

Since it isn't obvious, Iwould like toexplain theeffectthat leaving an Ning Network such as the Royal Courts of Second Life has on any groups thata memberhas created.
Whensomeone leaves an Ning Networkhe/she has two ways of doing it:
- The first is from your Account page, Ning Networks, Leave option . As far as I can tell, using this method will automatically delete all of your content when you leave.
- The second is documented here: How do I leave a Ning Network? and you have the option of whether or not to delete all of your content (default is delete all content).
In either case, if you leave an Ning Network and delete all of your content it means that any groups you have created will also be deleted.
If you would like to leave Royal Courts of Second Life but keepthe groups that you have created active for others to use when you are gone, it's a bit tricky but it can be done. In this case, please contact meBEFORE you leave and I will help to get the groups transferred over to other administrators.
I hope that this clears up any misunderstandings about deleting groups. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.

Duché de Coeur - The Coeur Fair (March) - Merchants & Entertainers Wanted

The Duchy hosts a monthly fair at the Coeur Fairgrounds the first weekend of every month with thenext one slated forMarch 6th & 7th. This will be an opportunity to meet & mingle with your fellows and have an all-around good time in a relaxed, country atmosphere.
The use of the RPS Role-Play system is encouraged (but not necessary) to take full advantage of this event. Find out more at Duch de Coeur - RPS Getting Started .
Set up will begin 6amFridayMarch 5th. Take down 6pm SundayMarch 7th.
A schedule of event times will be posted so that you know when you are most likely to meet people there. Each participant will be limited to 50 prims though exceptions may be granted (contact me to arrange formore prims). You will be assigned a specifc area for your set up.
We are looking for a variety of people:
Merchants - selling goods for RP$. You can do this a number of ways including the use of RP$ Vendors (contact me for more information) or by actually being present and selling the items directly. Bartering & trading is encouraged. Any item applicable to the time period is welcome including, food, herbs, flowers, art, healing potions, furniture etc. There will not be a charge for these merchants.
Merchants - selling RPS Compatible goods for L$. Spaces are limited and there will be a L$5/prim fee to participate.

All merchants are encouraged to be present SundayMarch 7th from 12pm to 2pm SLT at a minimum.
Services - earning RP$. It would be great to have people both performing & offering different services: healing, fortune telling, musicians, magicians, jugglers, kissing booth (PG kisses only ) Please use your imagination! The times for these will be advertised as individual events.

What to put in a Picks tab for RP

Whew, one week later and I'm back
)Tab: 4.1-RP Tatiana, Duchesse de Provence (Duche de Coeur)Washed up on the shores of Languedoc Coeur, Tatiana was determined to regain all that she had lost. Having suffered treachery & deceipt, she was nonetheless encouraged by the prosperity of her first, cosy Tea Room in beautiful Languedoc. She introduced her sister Skye to the lord of the land, Bedrich. Sparks flew & they married. The three of them founded the Duch de Coeur, expanding the lands & nurturing the community. Now, as Duchesse de Provence, she is always busy with the work & activities she loves; busy digging in her garden, hosting events, developing the economy. Too busy, perhaps, to grieve those losses that can never be recovered.I'm looking forward to what others have to say. It's tough condensing a backstory into something that will fit in Profile but well worth the effort. They're so much fun to read & really help with the RP!
