Leap Castle, A Haunted Place in Ireland

History

A bloody history haunts this location in the 'Emerald Isle' with murders and the mysterious andgruesome findings in the oubliette or ubliet. An oubliette is a dungeon or 'forgotten place' often found in medieval castles. A little somethingI found in time for the upcoming Halloween holiday. I hope you enjoy.

Lady Leena grabs achalice and drinks some rather red and murky liquid from it, '"Tis quite delicious," shethinks to herself and manages to wipe a small crimson spot from the corner of her mouth.

No I haven't read her books, but based on her research, they look like they may be a good read. I love the Pinterest website too. It's a great idea and it's nice that the original links are posted on the bottom of the pages for further exploring :)

18th Century Pinterest

This author, Lucinda Brant, has done her homework using a website called Pinterest. You can 'pin' bits and pieces of your interests onto your own page. She's thoroughly covered the 18th Century as far as I can see! The items are amazing and cover footwear to landscapes.

I hope you enjoy and cheers to all :-)

Mary Todd Lincoln to be retried for insanity

History

That would be wild ... to spend the night in the White House and to see Abe's ghost standing there :)

Mary Todd Lincoln to be retried for insanity

History

LOL Stormy, while the real life circumstances are tragic, it would be so interesting to be a part of the 'retrial' they are having in October ;-)

And I wonder if poor Mr. Lincoln's ghost will attend?

Mary Todd Lincoln to be retried for insanity

History

Mary Todd Lincoln

An interesting article as to how they will dress in period clothes and determine if she was 'insane' based on current definitions. She was the wife of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President ofthe United States.

Just a little something I found while surfing the internet, and I hope you enjoy.

Cheers all :-)
