Leaving an Ning Network - What happens to the Groups you Created?

Site News & Guidelines

Thanks for the info! :) Though fortunately I do not wish to leave the Royal Courts of Second Life ning! I use it as a central hub to keep informed on wonderful events.

Update on Haiti Red Cross Relief

General Discussion

Ladies and gentlemen, first of all, thank you everyone so much for supporting the Haiti relief cause. As of now, theofficialrelief package on SecondLife has been released. Myself or Mila Edelman can provide the donation package which has everything you need in it to continue to support this important cause.

I would also like to ask that all group owners think about giving out this package, so that those with stores, or sims of their own might be able to place a donation kiosk there.

Again, thank you so much everyone!

Ladies and gentlemen of the courts. As you all know, the Haiti earthquake has left over 50,000 dead, and so many more have had their lives destroyed. The Red Cross is working to help get relief to the people of Haiti in this tough time. I have been asked to place donation jars throughout the baroque community as a show of support here on SL.If you own a shop, have a RP sim, or somewhere you could place a jar. PLEASE, PLEASE contact Mila Edelman or myself so we can put a donation jar down. They are only one prim so please help out!I have already placed one in my own store. House of Alisha has also gracefully allowed a jar to be placed in her store.*UPDATE* Venezia and Russia have also added jars to their sims! As well Bamika's School of Maids has added a jar!*UPDATE* Prissy Hammand will be hosting a jar at her tea party at the Queen's Hamlet! Please attend! This donation event is only going on until TUESDAY, so I would like to get jars out as soon as possible. And if you see a jar, please if you can, donate to it, even linden helps you have no idea.THANK YOU, so much. Please lets show our support in Haiti's time of need. Families are out there who need it.

Opening of Venezia's "Il Giardino di Segreti"

Social Announcements & Introductions

Ladies and gentlemen! Lords and ladies! Have you heard? Most probably, but in case you have not: Venezia has opened its doors to their RolePlay world. A small but very, very lovely garden that if I am so bold to say- competes with any royal garden. I *highly* recommend at least taking a peek, as this is a great place for romances, or just reading a good book (or a bad one, the garden is that good). Here are some pictures for you! Here is a decent view of the garden. Now, it is a lot bigger than I expected and much more grand than photos can really do justice!

And here, is the inside of the building in the corner of the garden. Very lovely place for tea or just to converse. And that of course if la Contessa Rezzonico, one of the pioneer leaders of Venezia. Wonderful gown too... she made it... it's not for sale yet to my knowledge... I may send an anonymous letter of complaint that she hasn't put it up for purchasing.

Dinner in Russia, January 13th 1776

Communty News & Events

No there was no seaside dinner or anything such as that. Inside, many guests, including myself had the honor of having a seat at the table in one of the dining halls of the Imperial Palace in Peterhof. The snow outside calmly dropped and people were ushered in slowly to sit down- though of course not before being greeted by Her Majesty, Tsarina Ekaterina Alekseyevna. We were presented the next Grand Duchess, Princess Maria Feodorovna. I was unable to make it to the last ball where she had her debute, so I was glad to be able to see her this time. There was a lot of interesting discussion, in a range of topics, though sadly no dancing followed- not that it would matter, the lack of men available makes me think we exported them all to the colonies. Either way, I have two photos of the event, I apologize for the lack of variety:This is the gathering, or most of as some either were cut out by mistake or some had yet to show, as we did have maybe three late arrivals.

And here we have the two, of course, stars of the event. On the left, the Empress, and on the right, the Princess and future Grand Duchess.

All who didn't come, you missed out on a pretty good time. Come next time if you are able!
