Oh, I hate to read this news! In RL I have strong ties and roots to the Presido and Fannin's folly and the massacre at Goliad.

They are all wonderful...the bay topiary is especially tempting...so handy to pluck a fresh leaf and give it to cook to add to the stock pot
Life at court pales in comparison with excitement to be found in the salons of Paris as the denouement of theAncien Regime's story approached. It was in the salons of Paris that I found most excellent company and intellectual stimulation. As much as I enjoy my life as chatelaine at an intriguing complex in the Haut-Medoc, there are days I would return to Paris and establish a small enterprise offering the best of comforts for those drawn to the city. But there is always the matter of prims to consider. 3000 prims in the furnishing of Sister's house "in the country does add up! But, oh, how she would love to find such accomodations to tempt her to return to Paris for visits.
It is true. And I heard an interview on NPR recently about a man who deliberately infected himself with hookworm to cure chronic allergies. Makes a tight corset look better and better!
Mrs. Delany would not miss this for the world!
It's a great dress! My 'cousin' has been wearing it all week and collecting many compliments. i will have to drag her into the store again to pick out something new. The rust tea gown is on the list for certain!
Fabulous! I already snagged Witchie Chic Tea Gown in the hunt at Philomenaville for one of Lorsagne's cousin. Now Lorsagne is drooling over all the other new gowns. They are all gorgeous.
Lorsagne wore the Fox Gown to Miss Fanny Burney's rooms at Sorrentina for a reading today and so enjoyed the costume that she is sending Mary Delany at least one of the gowns for visits to The Royal Retreat. The Georgiana in Gray suits an widow-woman of mature years. One may be aged, but one must never fade into the woodwork.
These are wonderful! And the timing of the release is superb . . . The Royal Retreat of Miss Burney is nearly ready to open and in "RL" the Deborah Mitford, the Duchess of Devonshire died a few days ago at the age of 94. With her passing, the end of an era.
