What a whirlwind ofpursuits we enjoyed in Melioria this past weekend! I wish to share photos with you here as my way of thanking those who worked ... and played ...so tirelessly and enthusiastically behind the scenes, creating yet another bank ofspecial memories of good times shared.

The vines were resplendent and heavy with fruit. Harvesters and stomperstoiled for hours, knowing their efforts would be handsomely rewarded ~ both at the end of the day, and when these grapes see life again from the insides of a beautifully crafted bottle ...

Past vintages weresipped and discussed during a Salon held near the vineyards. Some of us found it most difficult to leave as the festival atmosphere was both all around and, er,in us ... leading to the enjoyment of traditional dances, or simply sipping, socializing, and snoozing :-)

Both archery and fencing skills were put to the test in friendly competitions. I was unable to attend the archery regrettably, but had opportunity to witness some of thepiste matches betweenladies, gentlemen, and ... honoured visitors ! The competition was fierce ...

Sunday welcomed more leisurely activities. The OOC WWII Hangar Dance, presented and hosted by Myron Byron, was surely time travel at its finest. The music, fashion, dancing, and setting truly captivated us as we disarmingly interacted with our friends in anotherera. The military speeches near the end held us spellbound, and stirred the emotions ... bringing tears to some, and stalwart salutes from others.

And, how better to conclude the formal festivities than with the official opening of Signor Trasgo Beaumont's SL Retrospective in our Showcase Gallery. Ahh, the tales, merriment and Chianti shared during those two hours were, again, of the finest vintage.

(Signor Beaumont's Presentation will be available for viewing through to the end of November)

Much appreciation goes to Professore Aldo, Lady Sere, Signor Gandt, SignoraAphro, Maitresse d'Armes Wulfride Blitzen, Myron Byron, Signor Trasgo... and any others I may not be aware of ... who contributed to a most successful festival weekend. I consider myselfblessed to be amongst your fine company. ~ Grazie ~
