Hello 18th century world out there *wave*

I would like to let you know Versailles it's exhibition of some Marie-Antoinette paintings can still be visited in the Hall of Mirrors. I recently gave a tour and told a bit about these paintings. Most of you have probably seen these paintings however, as I believe there are quite some Marie-Antoinette fans out there and I took some of the most famous portraits, but there is also some background information about the painting provided. You get this info by clicking the 'info' sign under the painting ;)

Happy visiting!

The Exhibition is wonderful. I had seen each of these paintings over and over, but its good that you added the note cards, packed with interesting tid bits, of thepairing, and the storybehindit. I must say, the last paining, done by Brun, is my favorite. Though it wasn't ever finished, or released, the story istrulytouching, itcapturesMarie Antoinette at hertruestmoment. It captures her as she wanted to be, free from the burden that she carried all her life, free from the hate, the gossip, and the scandals, and above all, free topursuewhat she wanted best, to be with her children always.

I just went there, and its lovely!

I only wish they were more paintings, starting from her childhood until her death. But I enjoyed a lot,I wish I had come in the first day(I was the only one today hehe). What I liked the most were the info about each painting, since the more I learn about Antoinette the better :)

Thanks for the amazing opportunity, hope we can see more of this!

Thank you so much for extending the exhibition. I was able to wander through the hall at my leisure, read the commentary, and enjoy the works. Merveilleux!
