Ahh, well, the temperature must be well above 0F for this to work ... if you recall, 0F (not quite -18C) occurs at the point when a brine mixture freezes, this was one of the wondrous discoveries of Herr Fahrenheit (and one I see very very often in my RL part of Canada ... they do not bother to salt the roads here as it is commonly -15 to -20C! ). I think the water chilled very quickly!Very lovely pictures, you and Sultan seem to be holding up well.

Well, I served in the Secret Diplomacy for our beloved King Louis XV, years ago, in Quebec and (secretly) in Nova Scotia ( which I still call Acadie...), and I remember I nearly froze to death there!Maybe it helps me now to stand this exceptionally cold winter in the South of France-Coeur...But I should take more care of Sultan! He's a purebred arabian horse, offered to me by Ali Pacha of Tepeleni, for the information I provided on his rival, Mahmoud Pacha of Joaninna...(oh, my, Myron! stop this babbling chatter of former diplomats!)...well, Sultan is a sand desert horse, and look what I am doing to him!

Cheri ... I can't remember why I was unable to accompany you on this glorious ride you have portrayed here in these wintry pictures.Must be the day I sent you out to find some fresh fish for our supper, but reluctant to deprive Stormy's bears from their feed, you came home with salt cod instead !
