That rogue there behind me? The one with the trophy? He's the one who rammed me under the drawbridge, shearing my rudder off against the pier, the rascal.
I can relate, Merry. I had my own run-in with a drawbridge which struck me on the head as I attempted to scoot underneath. Though things are a tad cloudy after that, I'm pretty certain Bedrich was nowhere in sightotherwise I would be tempted to blame the incident on him as well;)
A pair of sailboats, pushed along by a strong northeast wind approached Provence Coeur very nearly in parallel. As they entered the narrow passage to the east of the Provence Market, Duc Bedrich eased his craft against Lady Merry's hull, limiting her options. The boats rapidly approached the south drawbridge and Lady Merry obviously knew she was in trouble. She opened the bridge just as Bedrich released the pressure against het boat. Caught completely off guard, she began to turn sharply across the bow of Bedrich's boat, slamming against the pylons. Bedrich passed the stern of Merry's boat as she utteredwords in what was surely someforeign language.

I completely went off-course not having the opportunity to practice the route. Ended back at the start point. Did I win?
Surely some foreign language, indeed! Choice words from my father's tongue, no doubt sailors' jargon.
