Quecay is a long time resident that knows the duchy well. We have seen her exploring the new changes to the Provence area and obviously learned her way around very well!
When I decided to try the race I was convinced that it was very easy: no more than follow the red arrows. After several days of practice I had already wrong path so many times that all routes seemed known and I saw red arrows everywhere. So tired of losing myself I decided to start for the beginning, i.e. translating the instructions "About the Shared Seas Sailing Race", learn how to stop the boat before the bridges and take low speed to see where it was. Even so, few times I managed to get to Franca Contea. I remember one day that I did not find any boats to practice, I saw one stranded in the countryside near my house. I got to start it and I parked it in front of my house. I doubted if putting a sign on it saying "it is mine, mine, only mineeeee for the race". Being an old resident, my intention was to manage the full trip, so the day of the race I would be on the starting point behind the other participants. But Help! We went out two by two. I wanted to die; I thought disconnect my computer and say later that I had crashed. But no, I decided to be there, brave , I would race with Tatiana and how she is so kind sure she guided me. Guided me???? Nothing more start I stopped seeing her!. Be calm Quecay, today is a lovely day so do a quiet trip. And at the end they told me I had win the race, mmmmm., good ! My honor was saved (( This is my little Odyssey plying the seas of Coeur to Rocca ))
I noticed that boat tied up to your dock, Quecay!! If you like, I'll make a sign for you saying it's "yours" )
I would have loved to lead you through the race but unfortunately I suffered my first capsize soon after leaving Provence. Bedrich talks about " confluence of the tides at the intersection of the Provence and the two Aquitaine regions " but I tend to think of it more as the Bermuda Triangle.
Just before I went under the dark water, I thought I saw something that looked like this:
I'm calling it "Duchie". I believe that it also followed me to the intersection of PCE-PCE2-PCS2 where my second capsize occurred.
You did a wonderful job, navigating through all those perils, Quecay. A well deserved win )
Yes Tatiana, the Bermuda Triangle is the best way to describe this devilish area. PS.- I would be delighted of having the boat on my dock to scroll through the Duchy and Rocca, )
