As usual wrought iron as made at the time is impossible to do in VW's. I get increasingly frustrated with the constraints but unfortunately we have to live with it. The corbels under the balcony are quite special, on the (not so detailed blueprint) one can clearly see that they where double corbels, something I've never seen in rl on any other building. So had to use a bit of imagination and make something as nice as I could of it.
The setting of the chimneys is difficult to determine, as usual they where most probably symetrical placed, but where exactly... Look at any painting/gravure of the building and each time they are drawn on a different place. To make the interior spacing as exactly as it was is impossible in sl. The castle consisted of many really small rooms and had lot's of what I presume where narrow staircases. A camera would get stuck in it all the time and it would be very hard to move around. No other choice then to simplify so also difficult to guess the location of the chimneys due to this.
Next to be made, in principle next month: le petit degree, stairs going from the ground floor till the attic.
Bellevue is such a wonderful project, Zed.
I've used many of the pieces in my builds, on a smaller scale of course, and they're just a joy to work with.
Thanks for sharing them!
Thank you Tatiana, I hope they help you in creating new magnificent buildings.
