Carnevale 1790 (2020)
On the island, ever since a flock of Venetians settled down there, the tradition of Carnevale has rooted deeply. Every year we hold at least one event to have one decent night of drinking, dancing, and dressing up - before we enter the solemnity of Lent. This year, 1790, wasn't much different. In the most literal and figurative sense: We had a ball!
With current events, our thoughts are with those, that have no chance this year to celebrate. It will be silent in La Serenissima, which hasn't happened in a long time.
