I think he is, Sophia. He is, after all wearing a little cloak, so why not a muff? The two figures that intrigue me are the officers. The French officer with his mirror and perfect hair, is quite the picture of the uniformed narcissist. The redcoat officer on the other hand is an enigma: is he so frazzled and frustrated that he has decided to blow his own brains out, or is the source of his evident frustration that his pistol seems to be misfiring, thereby preventing him from achieving the desired result?
