Building SL Railroads
Alas what started out as a simple job to add an arch into a wall in the Victorian RP became project to build the London Tube down there -_- Thanks Hyacinth
So I got a cheap kit from MP and a bunch of freebies from Public Works Department but none of it came with clear instructions on how to set up a SLRR track.
After reading wiki pages, trialing and erroring, a wine glass and a bottle of chocolate milk later finally got it running. Important lessons learned are the Guide rail can’t be over a certain length and you can’t link them for a lower land impact too or the train won’t detect the Guide. Also MP kits were a bit wasted as Lindens provide a good selection of freebie items to build your own including free locos to run on it. Also interesting there are no curved tracks – only straights that can be set up in angles with no more than 15 degrees to minimize the risk of derailment. Overall rail tracks are really primy things.
Wrote a lot there but thought someone else might find the information useful if they plan to build a track in the future

What an interesting project! Thanks for sharing the information, Claire-Sophie.
I've had some experience with setting up the carriage rides in the Coeurs. It's picky work but nothing like this.
"Alas what started out as a simple job" - isn't that just always the way it goes
Speaking of your carriage rides - did you script that yourself?
