Happy 69th anniversary to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip!

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, are celebrating their 69th wedding anniversary today. The royal couple married on November 20, 1947.

At the time, then Princess Elizabeth was only 21-years-old and still learning how to become successor to the throne. Lieutenant Philip of Mountbatten, then 26, had just returned from serving in the Second World War; he was in the Royal Navy.

This year, Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 90th birthday and Prince Philip celebrated his 95th. Other milestones for the royal couple, this year, include Queen Elizabeth’s record of becoming the longest reigning sovereign and Prince Philip has become the longest serving Royal Consort, according to Metro.


Next year, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will celebrate their platinum wedding anniversary.

The first images have been released of Viking treasure buried in a Scottish field for more than 1,000 years.

The objects were found inside a pot unearthed in Galloway and include rare items such as a silver brooch from Ireland and silk from around modern-day Istanbul as well as gold and crystal.

The items date from the ninth and 10th centuries, and are part of a wider hoard of about 100 pieces, which experts say is the most important Viking discovery in Scotland for more than a century.

That's good to know, Tiamat  I figured I wasn't the only one trying to do more crafting than fighting but it's hard to find evidence of it through casual "googling".  I'm hoping I'll connect with more "demure" dragonborns because of these posts :)

Woohoo!!  Westworld Renewed for Second Season

Westworld 2.0 is officially happening.

HBO has ordered a second season of the sci-fi robopocalypse thriller – along with renewing fellow fall freshman series Divorce and Insecure. All three will have another 10 episodes.

There’s just one catch: Given its epic scope, Westworld probably won’t return until 2018, says HBO’s programming president Casey Bloys. The Westworld pick-up was expected as the show has delivered a mix of critical praise, pop culture buzz, and strong ratings (the series is averaging 11.7 million viewers across all the network’s platforms – more than even Game of Thrones racked up during its first season).

I've just implemented routine Youtube video maintenance.

Each night 100 videos are checked to make sure that the links are still valid and any invalid links are removed.  Typically this is because the video no longer exists on Youtube.

If it seems that one of your videos has disappeared it's NOT because it was censored in any way, it's just regular housekeeping.
