Some Thoughts on Alternative Gids

General Discussion

Dear Jacon, I'm using Opensim since 2011. In 2014 I opened a very limited project (to some friends and spanish people) Now I'm preparing a new RP, having costumes, furniture, and vehicles. Perhaps we should speak about it, because OSGrid was my first choose but can change to Kitely.

I wanted back to SL but I have problems until upload the mesh physics and make it run. In Opensim it is not a problem, also, the land value is still too high, and the future of our projects always depending of money.

If you wish to know something like a work board, perhaps is good idea look my blog.

http://virtual18th.weebly.com/blog

Finally this is a first step about the appearance of my next project:

About SL and other grids, my opinions are still the same...Sl is too expensive and the

alternative is not so "laggy", the most part of courtiers (roleplayers) are here to play,

to create and I'm convinced that the money is more a limit than a inspiration to "create,

sale and earn money". I prefer sale my models in 3D virtual market (Turbosquid, Fallingpixel, etc) to show who is the real creator or my content and protect it from be stole and sold in virtual worlds.

Well, you can count with me!

Kind regards.

Decades Festival: Call for RP Community Listings in SL and Elsewhere

General Discussion

I will send you news. Kind regards.

I believe that Second Life need's to change, but I guess that they will repeat his politics with a new generation of servers, code and mesh formats. A virtual land too expensive, without can make a good backup of your sims...Perhaps Opensim don't have too settlers but I can live happy creating and making roleplay like in Second Life. Perhaps the fall of SL could be the fall of Opensim, but this intention of LL to create another paralel virtual world demonstrates that we will loose our inventory soon or late, and our content is part of the business of LL to maintain SL. A good alternative could be Cloud Party Time, but will migrate from Facebook to Yahoo and the people can't respect these actions because means that the users are nothing. I prefer visit sometimes SL and live in OSGrid, if OSGrid fails, I made my weekly backup to charge in my own -and public- grid or in another comercial grid...All for a very cheap cost. Naturally I love SL, I "grew up" in the linden world, and is very sad see his posible final.

Kind regards.

Adieu, ma maison à Versailles

Communty News & Events

Good bye Versailles, our marvellous Sancta Sanctorum of all Royal Courts, the milestone of good taste and better building art. Good bye to my "inspiration" as creator and my shop (where can I place my shop now?).

Dear MJ, is better have the remind of your Versailles as the masterwork of a great builder and leader like you. Let me send you a enormous hug.

Versailles in SL is my origin as roleplayer and the best place in SL. Naturally, I hope that the spirit of Versailles as RP can born again.

Kind regards!
