Common Sense and Second Life

... if something in your brain says, "Something seems a bit off (strange) here" ...

It probably is. Time and caution and a kind, but *firm*, "I'm so sorry, but not now," will always serve one well. Thank you for the thought, Skye.

Historical Dress Disscusion - Comtesse de Provence

General Discussion

Well from the hair, the fichu, and general arrangement of the gown, I'll say it's 1780's, probably early 1780's, but other than saying that's an "open robe", I'm afraid I'm little more help. Really pretty though, and he certainly makes Madame look ... lovely!

Versailles - A/W 2011

General Discussion

It's funny, besides the embroidery, a lot of Wu's things remind me of vintage YSL ... late 60's through the 70's. In a good way. And then the embroidery is beautiful. He always has a nice clean line; in case anyone wants to know, his day dresses generally range from USD1500-3000, but I think most are clustered around $2200 or so (checks Neiman Marcus) - yep.

Thanks for sharing this with us! - Hee and see, we colonials can do something decent once in a while! ;^)
