Finally a new gown

Very genteel, Lizbeth, in keeping with the Victorian sensibility. I love the buttons.

Oh, good, a green one! I can likely talk my lord into it, and will have no trouble getting him to wear one of the burgundies if I present it to him for Christmas.
I will certainly attempt to drag my lord in for a visit before the freebies have run out! Not that I am in need of a good cup of coffee...but I am...
I suppose that explains why tailoring and dressmaking are distinct professions in real life.
My lord has already purchased George, and he looks most distinguished in it. The walking stick is a particular delight!
I'm also very sorry to see the Presidio go, as Antiquity's historical grounding was one of the factors that originally drew me. Perhaps someday, if Linden Labs decides to make a more meaningful commitment to the provision of space for educational substance, we might see it return. At least we still have the Capitol, will shortly have Buckingham again, and may expect to see Chenonceau once more after the end of this season's seismic shifts.

Indeed. Plastic surgery isn't really a modern craze.
Decidedly uncomfortable just thinking about it! There are reasons that I prefer the gowns of the Regency period to those of Victoria's time, and breathing and digestion are certainly among them.
Following Saturday afternoon's truly horrible event at the Chateau de Clagny - some of us may never again be able to view our neighbours with comfort - a new horror has been uncovered in the region of Cambridge: a stone maze, filled with mists and dangers both supernatural (such as the mummy who greets the unwary traveller) and physical (such as a large quantity of very determined spiders), and a great reluctance to release any who are rash enough to give in to its promises of treasure. Admiral and Commodore the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are unable to promise that this hazard will be cleared from their lands any earlier than the third day of November.
Seismic activity seems to have ended in Oceania, with three islands springing forth in place of one. New sailing charts have not yet been issued, so please take soundings as you sail through the region, and continue to keep a lookout for krakens who are likely to be more than usually bad-tempered as a result of the upheavals.
